Hey, it’s been a hot minute, but I’m back and ready to chat! Today, let’s dive into a topic that’s been on my mind — ageism and how it messes with women.

Spilling the Tea on Ageism:

So, what’s the deal with ageism, you ask? It’s like this uninvited guest that pops up, especially around 30 (according to some folks who think we’ve hit our expiration date, but come on, that number keeps dropping every day!). You know those clichés about women being past their prime? “Over the hill” and “past her prime” — yeah, those ones. They’re all about saying a woman’s worth takes a nosedive with age. Saying she’s “too old for that” slaps arbitrary restrictions on her interests, which is just plain unfair. Let’s give these clichés a reality check and shout out that women, just like men, can rock life at any age.

The Emotional Rollercoaster of Ageism:

Ageism messes with your feels, doesn’t it? Picture hitting a certain age and suddenly dealing with society’s expectations and stereotypes — like, bam! It’s stressful, makes you feel invisible and not worth a dime. It’s no walk in the park, and without support, it’s a real struggle to find yourself again.
