It’s no surprise we live in an increasingly digital world. And this global pandemic we’re in the middle of has only accelerated this push to the digital sphere.

In my childhood, the internet was just beginning to take off. And as for cable TV, it wasn’t an option for my siblings or me as my father refused to purchase it. To him, it would be a negative influence on our young minds. At the time, I resented him for it. But knowing what I know now, I don’t resent him as much for it.

To access “free” channels, it required me to fiddle with the cable wires. Often these channels were unclear and with crap audio quality. These restrictions required me to wake up early for the Saturday morning cartoons. Because in those days, that time slot was the only time I could really get my full dose of cartoons. Scooby-Doo…
